Two First Days of School

Wow! Did summer fly by or what?!

Jake has already been in school for over a month now, and Brayden started preschool last week. The time goes by so quickly! Jake is now a big first grader. He rides the bus to and from school, and has homework every night. Monday is his favorite school day, because the school cafeteria serves Domino's pizza for lunch. It is a bit strange having him gone all day every day, but he is enjoying school, and doing well.

Brayden started preschool this past Wednesday. After being excited for school all summer, he got nervous on Tuesday. He decided school wasn't for him. He got a fathers blessing Tuesday night, which seemed to help, but Wednesday morning he was still looking for excuses to stay home. He chose to take his Rockies backpack, but became convinced on the way to school that Rockies backpacks were not allowed. Once I assured him his "pack pack" was ok, he became convinced that you couldn't wear crocs to school. When I said crocs were ok, he said blue ones with fishes on them (what he was wearing) were not allowed. When we got to school he was very quiet, and I became very nervous. No phone calls from his teacher, so I returned to pick him up 2 1/2 hours later. He was all smiles, and his teacher even informed me that half way through school Brayden looked up and addressing the class asked "does anyone miss their mom, cuz I don't!" Seems Brayden will do just fine after all!

The House of Grey

Hi all,

As some of you might know, my brother-in-law Collin Earl wrote a fantasy novel, "The House of Grey". I am producing the audiobook version of the novel at www.podiobooks.com. The site has hundreds of audiobooks all produced in podcast novel format (you download each chapter of the book through iTunes, or another podcatcher). Subscritption to the site and each and every one of the books hosted there are completely free. So, click the link above and go subscribe to the book. I'll be releasing an episode each week until the book is done, so enjoy!!

Aren't they cute?

I know that I might have a bit of a bias, but I have to say that these boys are really cute! I love seeing all three of them together! I love you my angels!

My Babies are Growing Up!

As most of already know, Logan was born the day after Jake's fifth birthday. This year I came home from Girls Camp on Jake's sixth birthday. That meant I had a lot to do to throw a party the next day for my two little guys! I can hardly believe that Jake is six! He will start first grade on Tuesday. It seems pretty weird that he will spend more of his day at school then home with me. Logan is no longer a baby, but a rambunctious one year old. This past year has flown by! We celebrated by have a dual themed party with the fam. Jake picked Speed Racer, and I picked "swingin' safari" for Logan. Jake informed me that he wanted Daddy to make his cake, because he was better at it. Luckily Logan didn't have a say, so I got to make the Monkey cake! The party was tons of fun! Jake also got to bring a few friends for a "bouncing" good time at the play house a few days later.

TERRIFIC T-BALL!

A summer highlight was the great time we had watching Jake play, and Chris coach, T-ball. The boys had a great time playing, and Coach Chris seemed to enjoy it too! It was a great time for my boys to bond! I am so glad Jake has a great dad that he can have fun with and look up to. Thanks Honey!

GIRLS CAMP!

I never realized how much work Girls Camp could be when I was a camper. I have to send kudos to all of my leaders who must have spent many hours preparing for the multiple girls camps that I enjoyed! I had a great time with "my girls", but I am definately glad that girls camp is over for this year. We spent the week at a beautiful place called Piney River Ranch. We had fun crafts, a great hike, lots of spiritual moments, and an all around crazy good time. The girls decided to paint (yes paint, not polish) my nails purple during one of our slower moments! Thanks to my "lovely Laurels" who were great JC's!

Our Summer Vacation

We were lucky enough to spend some time as a family this summer visiting Aunt Lisa and Uncle Dustin, attending Cousin Angela's wedding, and having a good time in Park City. We loved the Alpine slide, ice cream at the cow shop, riding horses with Uncle Tex, and of course SHOPPING!

Thanks for the visit!

One of my favorite days this summer was when a mission companion came to visit. Caroline Howell, aka Sister Caroline Pulsipher was one of the best mission comps I had. We adored our time in tiny riverdale, and the smell of cows that greeted us every morning. Now we are both moms, and crazily enough we each have three little boys. Wow! We have come a long way, and it sure was fun looking back!

A Crazy Six Weeks

The past six weeks have been some of the craziest of my life! Since I last blogged I had a mission companion come to visit, Jake played an entire season of T-ball, we attended a wedding in Utah, took a vacation in Park City, I spent 4 crazy days at girls camp, we enjoyed some time with Jana and Bradley Snelgrove, and had two birthdays. Life is crazy! I can hardly believe that our summer is all but over, since Jake goes back to school in just a few days. WOW! I hope you enjoy the update!
