I'm so glad when Daddy comes home!

We had a wonderful Fathers Day yesterday. My boys were lucky enough to spend time with their Daddy, their Papa, and their Grampy. I am so blessed to have these three great role models for my boys. I am so thankful for my fathers example. For his wisdom that he shares quietly, and kindly. I am thankful that he taught me what a good father is. I am thankful for My father in law, who was a great example to my husband, and continues to be a good example to our whole family. Most of all I am thankful for a wonderful husband, who is the kind of father every mom would want for her sons. I am thankful for the time he spends with them playing T ball and X-box, and for the time he spends teaching them how to be good men. I know that HIs example will help them to be great Dads some day!

My Growing Boys

It is hard to believe that my "baby" will be a year old in just a few weeks! All of my boys seem to have grown up so much these past few months. Jake will finish Kindergarten in three days. I can't believe I will be the mom of a first grader! Brayden is starting to look just like his big brother, especially in pictures. He definitely has a three year old attitude, and he can hardly wait to start preschool. Little Logan is crawling all over the place, and very much enjoying "big boy food". These latest pics are him after enjoying his first slice of angel food cake. He was a mess! Every new day is so much fun. I realize now that the time goes so very fast! Before I know it my boys will be taller than I am! I am going to do my best to enjoy the time I have with them while they are still little.

You Are Mulan!

Strong and spirited. You're no one's girly girl; actually you are very determined person with a strong sense of self. Never let go of that! The only thing that equals your sense of self is your family, but the traditions of society can always be bent to protect something or someone you love.

CARNIVAL!

Jake has loved his year of Kindergarten at Antelope Ridge. One of the recent highlights was attending the Antelope Ridge Carnival. The kids had a great time bowling, jumping in bouncy houses, eating snow cones and cotton candy, and of course having their faces painted. Aunt Manda, Nana, Marlee, and Makenna came with us. We had lots of sugar, and lots of fun!

The prophet said to plant a garden!

One of my favorite things about spring/summer is when the time comes to plant a garden. I can't honestly say that the reason we plant is to follow the prophet, we love tending the garden! But following the Prophet is definitely a bonus! We enjoyed helping Papa plant his garden, and then got to come home and work on our own. This year we planted six different kinds of tomatoes, carrots and purple carrots, spaghetti squash, acorn squash, edamame, cucumbers, zucchini, rhubarb, peas, mini pumpkins, and onions. We can hardly wait to see everything start blooming! Chris also planted a few apple trees in our backyard. We will be spending a lot of time outside tending the yard this summer. I"m sure it will be lots of fun!

Hair cut

After looking at the "lime pictures" on our blog, I decided that it was time for my little Logan to have his first hair cut. I suppose the reason I waited for so long is that I still think he is a baby who shouldn't be crawling, eating solid food, or needing a haircut. He is my baby! I want him to stay that way, but no luck so far. He is going to be a one year old in less than two months! I will say that Aunt Manda did a great job, and Logan looks very handsome!

Aren't 3 year olds great?!

Don't you just love 3 year olds? It is true that 3 can be a very fun age, for Brayden it is fun for him, but not so much for me! Brayden is a problem solver, which is fantastic, but it means that he can find a way to get into just about anything! This month alone he has taken a walk through the muddy garden in his Sunday shoes, emptied an entire bottle of gold bond powder in the upstairs hallway, painted my bedroom mirror with my concealer, an last but not least, decided to do his own hair in the trademark "faux hawk" style. Sometimes you just have to laugh it off, and of course I had to have pictures. Enjoy!
